Choosing your first flute

A short video on choosing your first flute for those who are completely new to a musical instrument..
Lengths of flutes
Picture
This image displays the difference in the lengths of the flutes.
The first flute on the left is an A minor and the last flute on the right is a low D minor, one of the sounds people who are new to the flute sometimes ask for.

There is a big difference in the lengths, in the spacing of the holes and int he size of the holes. There is a much bigger stretch for your hands in playing the larger flutes.

There are much larger flutes and much smaller flutes but these are the most common keys and types of lengths that you will see.
