PHILOSOPHY
Discover the joy of self-expression through the Native American Style flute! My lessons empower beginners and curious adults to play from the heart, find healing, and unlock creative freedom.

An ability to create sound and craft it into the music from your soul resides in every person I have met.
For some it flows freely and joyfully and for others it is a secret longing.



My approach to teaching the Native American flute is all about fostering connection—helping you embrace your personal bond with your breath, your flute, its sounds, and a centered place to start your musical journey. I aim to guide you in creating the best quality sounds possible from your flutes.

I encourage you to be curious and playful as you get to know your flute.

Intuitive Player of Native American Flutes

Terry is a very intuitive player of the Native American Flute.  The focus of her lessons is to help you find your way into a real connection with the flute. She shows you breathing techniques, helps you develop finger fluidity with your playing and encourages you to begin to truly listen to the sounds you and the flute produce.

​Terry has completed the Certificate of Musicianship for the Native American Flute and the Native Flute Facilitation and Musicianship Program offered through the Flute Haven Flute School. 
​
In 2021, Terry was awarded a Certificate of Mastery in Flute Playing from world renowned Flute Player and Award Winning Musical Artist, Jan Michael Looking Wolf.

Terry is an accomplished recording artist and was recorded two CD's Wild Threads and Discovering Eden. Her music website is

PRIVATE LESSONS
Lessons can be conducted online using MOOZ, Zoom  or other video platforms or in Spruce Grove at Terry's home office.
Terry offers individual in-person and online lessons or group lessons as well.

Lessons are 1/2 hour in length


Brand New to the Flute Package 1
  • Covering the holes and creating the good sound you like to hear
  • Controlling your breath with the flutes
  • The Basic Scale 
  • Fingering patterns to help you develop smooth playing
  • Understanding how the flute produces sound​
Terry customizes all her lessons to fit the needs of the student.
